The Port Macquarie-Hastings Council has opened the second round of its community and major events grants for 2026 to help local groups in Port Macquarie, New South Wales. This funding round is designed to support non-profit organisations and event organisers with the costs of running activities that bring people together.

Local groups can apply for several different types of funding, with individual grants available for up to $7,000. These Community Grants are available for projects, creative programs, and small events that make Port Macquarie, Wauchope, and Camden Haven more vibrant places to live.

There is also a Major Events Grant which provides up to $5,000 for activities that attract visitors to stay overnight in the region. While the community grant categories are for registered non-profit groups, individual organisers and businesses can apply for this major event funding.

Mayor Adam Roberts said the 2026 program focuses on making local activities more inclusive and accessible for all residents. The council is looking for projects that align with its long-term goals for local culture and community connection.

All applications must be submitted to the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council by 5:00 PM on 15 March, 2026. Successful applicants will be announced in April 2026.
