The Lockyer Valley Visitor Information Centre expanded its local farm-gate directory in February 2026 to include three new producers near Laidley, Queensland. This update gives residents and day-trippers more options to buy fresh food and flowers directly from regional growers. The new listings help signpost roadside stalls for people searching for seasonal products across the valley.

One of the new additions is Shingle Hut Creek Farm in Thornton, a 2,400-acre cattle farm owned by Dominic and Sandra Lawson. Visitors can also stop at Tamor Roses in Grantham, which features a roadside stall open seven days a week. This flower farm provides a variety of fresh-cut roses picked straight from the property.

Ghost Gully Produce in Gatton has also joined the trail with its stall known as The Salad Shed. This stop offers pesticide-free hydroponic lettuce and herbs for sale to the public. The farm is located on a historical site well-known in the community as the location of an unsolved mystery from 1898.

These new stops are part of a wider effort to promote the region as a major source of Australia’s winter vegetables. By listing these small family operators, the visitor centre aims to make it easier for people to find high-quality local produce while supporting the rural economy. The expanded trail highlights the different types of farming in the area, from hydroponic greens to ethical beef production.
