The Lockyer Valley Regional Council will host its 2026 International Women’s Day Breakfast for the Laidley, Queensland community on 5 March, 2026. The theme for this year is Balance the Scales, which matches the national focus set by UN Women Australia to promote fairness for women and girls.
Adventurer Kerri MacMahon is the keynote speaker and will share stories about her trip around Australia. The event takes place at the Gatton Shire Hall and is designed to bring women from throughout the valley together to network and find inspiration.
Local business The Hen House Cafe from Plainland will provide the catering for the morning. During the event, a raffle will be held to raise money for Kintsugi Ministries, a charity that supports first-time mothers.
The breakfast begins at 7:00 am, with doors opening at 6:30 am. Tickets are $25 per person and must be booked by 12:00 pm on Monday, 2 March, 2026, as there are no tickets available for purchase at the door.
