Travellers from Laidley, Queensland, who use the regional bus network through Riverview may need to change their midday travel plans on 17 February, 2026. A temporary bus stop closure has been put in place while maintenance crews perform electrical work in the area.
The Translink notice states that the stop on Old Ipswich Road at Maxwell Street is closed from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. During these hours, anyone using the Route 500 service will need to use a different boarding point nearby.
The alternative stop is located at Old Ipswich Road at Ipswich Street. This change primarily affects midday passengers who use the service to connect with Bus Queensland routes or other regional transport links.
Because the work is scheduled to finish by 3:00 pm, the busy morning and afternoon travel periods are not expected to be affected. Commuters are encouraged to view the service update to see if the midday changes will require extra walking time for their trip.
