GOULBURN — The Goulburn Multicultural Festival will return to Belmore Park in New South Wales on Saturday, 14 February 2026, offering residents free entry and a day of food and entertainment.
The event runs from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm and is expected to draw around 3,000 attendees to the city centre.
This year’s festival features more than 20 international performance groups and a high-density street food market with around 30 stalls. Organised by the Goulburn Inclusion Forum in partnership with the Goulburn Multicultural Centre and Goulburn Mulwaree Council, the event has grown into a major regional attraction since it first started in 2005 (21 years ago). Reports in the Goulburn Post (2024) show that attendance has surged in recent years as more people move to the area.
A new sensory area will be available this year for people who need a quiet space away from the main festival activities. This initiative was introduced by the Goulburn Inclusion Forum to make the day easier for families and individuals with specific accessibility needs. Support for the project aligns with the community goals of the Goulburn Mulwaree Council.
Funding for the festival is provided by local council grants and the NSW Government’s Reconnecting Regional NSW Community Events Program. The celebration originally began with just a few dozen people in 2005 and has now become a flagship event that supports the local economy and celebrates cultural diversity across the region.
