Antique hunters and collectors will gather in Esk, Queensland, this weekend for the biannual Esk Antique and Collectables Fair at the Somerset Civic Centre. The event, held on Saturday 14 February and Sunday 15 February 2026, transforms the local venue into a marketplace for heritage furniture, rare coins and vintage memorabilia.
The event is organised in partnership with Aussie Fairs (Collectormania) and promoted by Somerset Regional Council, bringing professional dealers and hobbyists to the town. Experience Somerset says the fair features a wide range of items, including vintage records and jewellery.
The doors to the Somerset Civic Centre will open at 9:00 am on both days. The fair runs until 4:00 pm on Saturday and closes at 2:00 pm on Sunday, giving residents a chance to browse unique pieces and meet traders from across the state.
Local leaders say the event is an important way to support the regional economy by bringing in visitors who spend money at local cafes, hotels and bakeries. The fair aligns with the Somerset Regional Council’s tourism objectives and its broader strategy to increase visitor numbers and spending in the region.
Entry to the indoor market is historically priced at approximately $8.00 for adults, while children under 14 years usually enter for free. This regular event provides a central place for the community to connect while exploring a wide range of collectables from the past.
