The City of Coffs Harbour in New South Wales has updated the status of local sports grounds as of 18 February, 2026. This list helps local clubs and school teams know where they can play and train to avoid causing damage to the grass fields.
According to the City of Coffs Harbour, several locations are currently closed, including the Stadium and Leisure Park fields 1, 2, 3, 4, and East. Other grounds remain open for use, such as Bayldon Oval, Bray St Oval, Fitzroy Oval, Jetty Oval, Korora Oval, McLean St, Nana Glen, Richardson Park, Toormina Oval, York St, and Wiigulga, while all synthetic fields also remain open.
Council officials provide updates on field status by 3pm each weekday on the local council website. For weekend games, sports groups and referees are responsible for checking if a field is fit to play on before they start, as the council may charge groups for repairs if they cause extra damage to wet surfaces.
Specific sports have different times for final decisions, with AFL choices made by 5pm the day before a match and decisions for the C.ex Coffs International Stadium made by 3pm on Fridays. Residents and clubs can contact the council’s Stadium and Major Events Section for more details about ground bookings and closures.
