The City of Coffs Harbour is seeking community feedback on a proposal to grant a 10-year lease of community land at Vost Park on Murray Drive to the Coffs Harbour Netball Association Incorporated. If approved, the agreement would formalise the association’s use of the facility for the next decade, with an option to extend the lease for a further 10 years.

The proposal follows a significant $1.8 million upgrade to the Vost Park courts completed in 2022. That project was funded by $1.45 million from the federal Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program and $350,000 from the local council. The major works saw all nine courts reconstructed with a new surface system, improved drainage, and upgraded lighting to meet national standards for the sport.

The Coffs Harbour Netball Association, which has been operating since the mid-1950s, currently supports about 70 teams across four affiliated clubs: Souths, Westside, Sawtell Toormina, and Surfside. Under the Local Government Act 1993, the council must publicly notify the community about the lease proposal because the term exceeds five years.

Residents are invited to provide written feedback on the plan until 6 May 2026. Submissions regarding the proposed lease agreement can be sent via email to coffs.council@chcc.nsw.gov.au.
