The Rotary Club of Coffs Harbour has opened its 2026 BookFest today at the Norm Jordan Pavilion in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, with organisers calling it their largest event to date. The sale runs from 14 March until 21 March 2026 and features a massive range of donated items collected to raise money for local and global charity work.

Volunteers moved 58 pallets of books to the pavilion to prepare for the surge of shoppers. In addition to thousands of books, the collection includes DVDs, CDs, games, and jigsaw puzzles donated by the community over many months.

Local businesses and groups have provided essential support to help manage the heavy workload. According to BookFest Coffs Harbour, teams from Coffs Harbour Breakers AFC assisted with logistics, while Faircloth & Reynolds and All Terrain Access Sales + Hire supplied equipment to help move the heavy pallets of stock into place.

The money raised from the sales helps fund local projects and grants as well as global Rotary initiatives. As noted by the NSW Government, this annual event is a major fundraiser that supports various causes and equipment needs across the Coffs Coast region.
