The Scenic Rim Regional Council has committed $25,000 to support the 2026 Scenic Rim Clydesdale Spectacular in Beaudesert, Queensland. This funding was officially approved during a council meeting on 29 January 2026 to help bring thousands of visitors to the local area.

The sponsorship package includes $14,760 in cash and $10,240 worth of help with advertising and rubbish collection. This support is part of a program designed to back events that encourage people to visit the region and spend money at local businesses.

The main activities will take place at the Beaudesert Showgrounds on Saturday 13 June and Sunday 14 June, 2026. The full festival runs from 11-14 June, 2026, and includes extra events like a golf day and a race day at the local race club.

According to the council, last year’s show brought in more than $2.5 million for the local economy. Councillor Jennifer Sanders said the council has supported the event since 2022 because it celebrates the history of the region while helping local shops and services grow.

Residents can expect more traffic and busier streets during the festival as more than three-quarters of the people who attend usually come from outside the Scenic Rim. To help manage this, the council’s contribution includes providing extra waste bins to keep the town clean during the busy weekend.
